Starting point: Lotharpfad car park (B500)

On Boxing Day 1999, hurricane Lothar raged and left large parts of the Black Forest in a snow of devastation.

On the Schwarzwaldhochstraße (B500) in the Schliffkopf area, the idea arose to leave the storm thrown to nature. On the Lothar path you can see the force with which the hurricane has made its way and how nature regenerates itself from it.

Most of the path runs on wooden planks and leads over or under the storm wood with small bridges.
