Characteristics

Location: Baiersbronn
Track length: 1 km
Ascent: 12m
Descent: 12m
Suitable for prams: no
Starting point: Lotharpfad car park (B500)

On Boxing Day 1999, hurricane Lothar raged and left large parts of the Black Forest in a snow of devastation.

At the Black Forest High Road (B500) in the Schliffkopf area, the idea arose to leave the storm toss to nature. On the Lothar path you can see the force with which the hurricane has made its way and how nature regenerates from it.

Most of the path runs on wooden planks and leads over or under the storm wood with small bridges.
