Experience the Black Forest with all your senses: In our open-air museum, culture and history are filled with life. Discover how people have lived, lived and worked on Black Forest farms over the past 400 years. Visit six fully furnished one-roof courtyards and a day laborer's house. There are also around 20 outbuildings such as mills, saws, chapel, granary, cottage gardens, a herb garden and old breeds of domestic animals.
Overall, they show life in the Black Forest in all its different facets; its architecture, tradition, customs, handicraft as well as the economy and way of life.

Late March to early November,
daily 9 a.m. to 18 p.m. (admission until 17 p.m.),
July and August
daily 9 a.m. to 19 p.m. (admission until 18 p.m.)
