Zweälersteig

108 kilometers around the ZweiTälerLand - up and down - 4.120 meters in altitude.

You enjoy the warmth in the valley, feel the heartbeat as you climb to over 1.200 meters and see the Swiss Alps when the weather is clear. Rose gold, the sun disappears behind the Alsatian Vosges.

The Zweälersteig takes you into the most beautiful and pristine corners of the Elz- and Simonswäldertal. At high points and vantage points like that Kandel, the pilgrims' chapel on the Hörnleberg, the primitive Rohrhardsberg or the elongated mountain ridge from Höhenhäuser down to Waldkirch, where the changing distant views are addicting. To natural beauties such as the spraying Zweribach waterfalls, the wild and romantic pond gorge or the mighty Huberfelsen. To lovely landscapes like the sunny meadow valleys with their gurgling streams in the rear Elz Valley or the mosaic of forest and meadows on the gently rolling mountain ranges of the western climb. And of course to the friendly people of the ZweiTälerLand, who have kept their open and cordial manner to this day.
