Amusing traveling theater in front of a fantastic Black Forest backdrop with donkeys and a hearty Black Forest picnic in the footsteps of the "Feldberg mother" Fanny Mayer, the pioneer of skiing and Black Forest tourism
A telegram from his brother called Fanny Mayer from in the wretched winter of 1881 Basel on the Feldberg. A motherless child, an abandoned inn and a few old pans awaited them there. Despite all the adversities, she soon made the Feldberger Hof the center of the world and the stronghold of skiing.
Accompanied by her nephew Oskar, her spa guest James Purdy from London, "Madame Brosi from Hintermenzschwänz" and her daughter Anneresli, Fanny Mayer will now lead you over the Feldberg together with the donkey Peter. She will tell you about her eventful life as a “Feldberg mother” and how the Feldberg became the home of skiing for her. On the way, Mr. Purdy tries to discover Fanny's secret about the strange French chef and his apple tart.
After the great success in 2012, 2013 and 2014, the scenic hike “With Fanny am Feldberg” will take place again in summer 2016.

The scenic hike takes a total of 4,5 hours (with a picnic).
During the event a distance of approx. 8 kilometers will be covered.
Children under the age of six cannot take part in this hike. Dogs are not allowed.
The event only takes place in good weather. In the case of bad weather forecasts, this will be postponed to the next day.
Registration is required. The number of participants is limited.
