The Wunderfitz path is located on developed forest and agricultural paths and is easy to walk for pedestrians and hikers. The starting point of children's trail is, at the Catholic Church
(Corner of Kreisstraße/Waldrainstraße) Diersburg. Go left of the war memorial

The "Schlauli" signpost leads you to the left at the edge of the forest and along the vines to the actual beginning of the "Wunderfitzpfad", which begins on the Mühlberg at the Flurkreuz on the right in the forest. Please always follow the "Schlauli" signpost so that nobody can get lost.

With the stroller on the Wunderfitz path

If you want to walk the Wunderfitz path with a pram, there are two bottlenecks at the beginning and end of the path. At the first bottleneck, the path leads about 150 meters along a hiking trail, before returning to the developed forest road. You can avoid this bottleneck by not going in direction "2" at the beginning of the path, but by taking the detour and following the Schrofenweg! So you stay on wide forest paths all the time. If you are traveling with a stroller, there is information on the homepage https://www.hvv-hohberg.de/632/freizeit/wunderfitzpfad an extra card for families with prams, with directions from the Wunderfitzpfad Hohberg, which enables you to complete the path with prams without any problems.

Learning fun for big and small adventurers

Here on the Wunderfitzpfad Hohberg, big and small adventurers learn many exciting things about the animals in the forest with the dormouse "Schlauli" on the approx. 4 km long forest nature trail and experience the habitat of the animals, including the various trees and plants. On the numerous information boards on the tour, the individual animals in the forest introduce themselves and talk about their habitat, their habits and their food.

Discover animals with animal puzzles

Highlights for young and old of the Wunderfitzpfad Hohberg are the animal puzzle, in which 11 animals have hidden themselves in the forest, some high up in the trees, others in the undergrowth that are to be found, the squirrel nest, where you can crawl in, because he is so big and the craftsman's hut, which also serves as a shelter from the rain with seating.

A sky lounger is located right on the edge of the path, where you can enjoy the view and let your soul dangle a little. At the end of the tour, a water treading area awaits you, by treading water the circulation is stimulated and the arterial blood flow is promoted, at this point you can do something for your well-being, don't forget a towel to dry your feet. Next to the water treading area there is a nice playground in the forest where the children can linger and the adults can take a break and have a picnic.

A narrow forest path takes you back to the starting point.
