Motorhome holidays in Germany are trendy. More and more couples, families, but also seniors are consciously opting for a holiday in their own camper. The Black Forest has always been one of the most attractive regions in the country and, with the numerous campsites around the Titisee, offers a true Eldorado for motorhome vacationers.

Black Forest inspires with a well-developed camping infrastructure

The landscape of the Black Forest knows how to inspire with its diverse contrasts. The small villages have nestled against the vast forests for centuries. Again and again lakes like the Titisee are waiting to be discovered.

For the motorhome vacation, the Region around the Titisee Appreciated above all for their superbly developed camping infrastructure. There are numerous campsites of various sizes right on the Titisee, but also in the immediate vicinity, which can be used for a short stopover or a longer stay.

For many Black Forest holidaymakers, Titisee is also the reflection of the entire region. The Titisee is still valued today for its crystal clear water. At the same time, the place is home to a beautiful old town that invites you to stroll. On the other hand, vacationers can expect peace and nature in the coniferous forests around the lake.

It all depends on the right planning

The campsites around the Titisee are particularly popular in summer, so planning your next caravan holiday in good time is worthwhile. In general, it is advisable to inquire in advance whether there are free places during the high season and to reserve these for the desired period.

At trade fairs like that Caravan and Co Camping fans can find out about travel destinations and new camping equipment in good time. So it is generally worth taking a look at the equipment of your own camper before you start your Black Forest holiday.

Good hiking boots should not be missing, especially on a caravan holiday in the Black Forest. The region invites you to go on attractive hiking tours at different altitudes.

The most beautiful excursion destinations for caravan holidaymakers on Lake Titisee

Starting from the Titisee, you can easily discover the most attractive excursion destinations in the region. If you travel through the Black Forest by caravan, you shouldn't miss a detour to the Schluchtensteig. Of the Schluchtensteig passes over a total of 120 kilometers the Southern Black Forest Nature Park and invites you to hike of various lengths.

A total of six stages are advertised as official hiking routes on the Schluchtensteig. They all have one thing in common: They always lead through seven gorges. In terms of landscape, the numerous waterfalls that are passed are among the highlights.

Not far from Triberg is the Triberg waterfalls, a very special highlight of the region. The Triberg waterfalls plunge more than 160 meters into the depth and are today one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the whole of Germany.

If you still have time after visiting the waterfalls, it is best to make a detour to Triberg itself. The place presents itself with an idyll that is typical of the Black Forest and also has an attractive excursion destination. This is the Black Forest Museum, for which you should allow enough time to visit.

The Black Forest Museum not only enables grandiose insights into the culture and traditions of the region, but is also home to the world's largest walk-in cuckoo clock.

But between all the excursion destinations, it is always worthwhile to spend a few days without a fixed destination in the Black Forest. The charm of the region is best discovered in free time.
