The culinary concept of St. Valentin combines traditional German-Baden cuisine with Mediterranean influences. The menu offers a diverse selection to suit a variety of tastes:
- Traditional specialties: The famous pancakes (in various variations such as apple, mushroom, bacon, sheep's cheese or with herb cheese and ham)
- Meat dishes: Particularly recommended is the “Scharfe Paula” – a Cordon Bleu without breading with fiery tomato sauce as a tribute to the former landlady
- Mediterranean dishes: Light dishes with influences from Mediterranean cuisine
- Vegetarian options: A selection of meatless dishes
- Seasonal offers: Dishes with fresh, local, seasonal ingredients
Every Wednesday there is a special steak evening where selected steaks are served with rich side dishes.

History and tradition
The idyllically situated Waldrestaurant St. Valentin boasts a long history dating back to 1923. From 1934 until her death in 2001, Susanna Trenkle transformed the restaurant into a regional institution. With her legendary pancakes, she established the Waldrestaurant's excellent reputation. Since 2003, Thomas Fehrle has managed St. Valentin with great dedication and has managed to preserve its traditional charm while adding a modern touch.
