Location: Simonswald

A cultural monument from the early 18th century. - Oil mill and trot.

The house, built in the style of a pagan house, stands as if on an island, framed by the Wild Gutach and the mill canal.

About 20 minutes walk from the center Simonswald away. The oil mill, which is driven by an undershot water wheel, consists of a rapeseed mill, a rubbing stone, an oil oven and a pressing device, the Torckel tree. Fruits produced in the valley, especially rapeseed, poppy seeds, walnuts and beech kernels, were oiled.

The trot had almost the same meaning as the oils.
