The Staufens castle ruins, which are enthroned above the city, can be reached in 15 minutes on foot. Formerly the seat of the Barons von Staufen, who also brought the magician Faust to the city as a gold maker, from here you have a breathtaking view of the Vosges and the Rhine plain.
