about the textile industry, which was once so important for the Wiesental. The exhibits include mechanical looms, spinning machines, weft winding machines, and dyeing machines from the history of textile production, all of which are ready for use. A picture documentation shows the development stages from home work through the first manufactories to industrial production.
A department devoted to textile homework shows a sewing school as it was typical for the region. In addition to a large number of sewing machines, textile handicrafts, e.g. B. knitting, artificial knitting, crocheting, embroidery, sewing and lace-making are exhibited in partly very elaborate originals.
