Embedded in the wonderful, mild landscape of the southern Black Forest. Shielded from traffic in a valley, the extensive park landscape offers many bird treasures from all over the world a splendid home.
The two highlights are the daily fascinating birds of prey flight shows with eagles, falcons and owls at 11 a.m. and 15 p.m., a unique performance! Courageous kids can fly a small tame bird of prey under the guidance of the falconer before the air show (1 child per air show) and receive a falconer's assistant certificate at the park ticket office. In the vicinity of the falconer arena, the moderated barbary ape feedings take place at 12 p.m. and 16 p.m. The other attractions of the park, such as B. the approx. 30 m long accessible parakeet free flight aviary you can experience the little colorful flying acrobats up close.
There are: snack kiosk, snack bar, open terraces, barbecue areas with shelters, children's playgrounds, water treading area where you can refresh yourself on hot days, so that a full-day stay is possible. For kids 6 to 16 years of age, exciting holiday campaigns are offered during the summer holidays.
The Vogelpark Steinen is located in the border triangle of Germany, France and Switzerland, at the motorway exit Lörrach in the direction of Schopfheim B317.
From May to October you can take part in special falconry programs. New is the eagle owl labyrinth, an exciting search game for young and old and a large meerkat enclosure. The park is open daily from the end of March to the first Sunday in November 10 am-17pm.
