The Rhine Falls, the largest waterfall in Europe, offers the visitor a magnificent spectacle. Over a width of 150 m and a height of 23 m with average water flow of the Rhine, 700 cubic meters of water per second tumble over the rocks. From the Rhine Falls basin you can let the whole force of the water have its effect on you.

A trip to the middle rock, which can be climbed, or to the Zurich side of the fall and further down the Rhine is also worthwhile. From Laufen Castle, a footpath leads past the thundering masses of water to the “Fischetz” platform directly in the Rhine Falls.
