Treat yourself to an eventful day at the Kaiserstuhl on a trip on the historical train “Rebenbummler” run by Eisenbahnfreunde Breisgau eV

You travel nostalgically as in grandfather's time in historic passenger carriages with mostly original wooden benches and some open platforms. In our cozy bar car we have selected wines ready for you in addition to non-alcoholic drinks and Riegeler beers. These all come from the places that the Kaiserstuhlbahn touches. While you enjoy the wines of the region, the magnificent landscape of the Kaiserstuhl sweeps past outside. The train runs between Riegel and Endingen past fertile farmland, between Endingen and Sasbach through one of the largest fruit-growing areas. After Sasbach, the Rheinauen are touched briefly, then the most beautiful part of the route begins. From Jechtingen, the route leads through the almost unmissable vineyards to nach Breisach. From the train you have a unique view of the small wine-growing town of Burkheim with the Schwendiburg, of the Breisacher Münsterberg and, on clear days, of the Vosges in Alsace.
