Treat yourself to an eventful day at the Kaiserstuhl on a ride on the historic “Rebenbummler” train from Eisenbahnfreunde Breisgau eV
You travel nostalgically like in grandfather's time in historical passenger coaches with mostly original wooden benches and partly open platforms. In our cozy bar car, we have selected wines ready for you in addition to non-alcoholic drinks and the Riegeler beers. These all come from the places that the Kaiserstuhlbahn touches. While you enjoy the wines of the area, the magnificent landscape of the Kaiserstuhl sweeps by outside. The train runs between Riegel and Endingen past fertile arable land, between Endingen and Sasbach through one of the largest fruit-growing areas. After Sasbach, the Rhine meadows are briefly touched, then the most beautiful part of the route begins. From Jechtingen the route leads through the middle of the almost unmistakable vineyards to Breisach. From the train you have a unique view of the small wine-growing town of Burkheim with the Schwendiburg, of the Breisacher Münsterberg and, if visibility is clear, as far as Alsace and the Vosges.
