Largest visitor mine in the Black Forest

The mine building, created in the Schauinsland in 800 years in search of silver, lead and zinc, is 100 km long, spread over 22 floors, the largest in the Black Forest and the Vosges.
There are 3 different guided tours of 45 minutes, 1,5 hours and 2,5 hours at fixed times. The longer tours are adventurous with ladders and electric pit lamps.

Regularly open May 1st to November 1st.
Year-round special tours for registered groups, including children's birthdays with 1,5 h + 2,5 h.

The museum mine is located on the top of the Schauinsland, 400 m from the car park and the mountain station of the Schauinsland cable car.
