Black Forest expert Linda Graze: original and quick-witted, with a cryptic new case for the unmistakable Inspector Justin Schmälzle. Enjoy the refreshing Black Forest air – with a hint of murder and crime. It's a lull at the Bad Wildbad police station. Colleague Scholz is making paper airplanes, while Inspector Justin Schmälzle – a vegan, rice milk macchiato fan, and Baden native with Haitian roots – is bored. Until a bog body with a smashed skull is found, along with a considerable number of gold coins and a large bottle of cherry schnapps. Schmälzle rubs his hands: finally, a new case! But the woman lived in the century before last, reports the pathology department. Perpetrator dead, sighs Schmälzle... At least the station's cleaning lady tells them about illegally moved boundary stones between the schnapps factory and the planned Wildbad resort. Then someone shoots the resort's investor in the foot. Who did that? Why? And doesn’t the past always determine the present?
