Legendary Blindensee

If you are looking for peace and relaxation, hike to the Blindensee. Like the 10.000-year-old high moor, it can be reached via forest paths and boardwalks. The legendary high moor lake got its name from its ink-black water, which makes it appear unfathomably deep. The bottom of the Blindensee is completely moor, the first layer of mud is already 60 cm deep. Numerous plants such as cotton grass, rushes, heather, cranberries and sundews grow on its banks. Benches offer opportunities to rest and linger in nature.

During the hike on the Rohrhardsberg, visitors can enjoy a hearty farmer's wasper and a cool drink in the inn on the Schwedenschanze. The outdoor terrace offers a wonderful view while enjoying culinary delicacies from the Black Forest. The hand-carved furniture with decorations in the dining room is also special. The inn is open on weekends and public holidays in summer and from Wednesday to Sunday in winter.
