Now the Black Forest also has its "own" radio station. On Sunday, May 6th, “Schwarzwaldradio® Classic Hits & Super Oldies ”as the first holiday radio in a German holiday region. The start of broadcasting will be celebrated in Hausach in the Kinzig valley. This year's hiking season on the Westweg will also be officially opened there.
Managing director Christopher Krull from Schwarzwald Tourismus GmbH (STG) in Freiburg: “With Schwarzwaldradio, the entire holiday region is represented on the radio worldwide with its news and highlights.”
Schwarzwaldradio digital Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH in Offenburg and Schwarzwald Tourismus GmbH in Freiburg have entered into a strategic premium partnership initially agreed for three years.
Schwarzwaldradio has been broadcasting via cable in the Ortenau and via VHF in the Kinzigtal since 2009. Then there are the cable networks from Karlsruhe and Freiburg and the digital frequencies in the DAB + Baden-Württemberg network. This means that almost 10 million listeners can now always find the latest news from the Black Forest in digital CD quality.
In the cable networks, Black Forest radio can be received on the frequency 87,5 MHz, on FM in the Kinzigtal on 93,0 MHz, in the digital receiver under "Black Forest", in apps under "Black Forest Radio", worldwide via Webstream under www.schwarzwaldradio.com.
When the holiday radio started broadcasting on May 6, the program was changed: In addition to oldies and music classics, tourist information and tips for vacation, leisure, gastronomy, wellness, hiking and cycling in the Black Forest holiday region can be heard.
