Every year the Black Forest attracts tourists from Germany and around the world with its diverse highlights.
The gorgeous nature in particular is one of the reasons why the area is worth a visit at any time of the year.
A very special experience is the Black Forest Panorama Road, which winds its way through wild nature for around 70 kilometers. This piece of landscape became known through the series known in this country "The Black Forest Clinic"which helped the unique panorama to impressive TV appearances.
The Black Forest Panorama Road crosses six idyllic villages on its route, and in places reaches a height of up to 1243 meters above sea level.
Although the route is relatively short at under 100 kilometers, there is hardly a route that offers such diverse insights into the local natural environment.
From the Vosges to the Alps, and in places even into the Rhine Valley, the panoramic road reveals.
Not only for hikers and sports enthusiasts, the route is a pearl among the tourist routes. Lovers of good cuisine or those interested in culture will also find an excellent selection of offers here.
Beginning in Waldkirch, the first stage of the ZweiTälerLand runs through a picturesque old town at the foot of the Kandel.
Where appealing trails in winter appeal to cross-country fans of all levels of training, wonderful hiking trails run through the area in summer.
From a cultural point of view, the city of Waldkirch is particularly known for its building of barrel organs, and the former gemstone cutting shop also made a significant contribution to their popularity.
Stage location Hinterzarten
The next point on the route is the small settlement Glottertal, on the western edge of the Black Forest.
Here you can look at the diverse nature from the air on an eventful flight with the tandem paraglider, or enjoy the variety of flavors on the Black Forest Panorama Road in numerous cafés and restaurants.
Visitors who are in possession of the KONUS guest card also benefit from some discounts around the Glottertal.
The architectural feast for the eyes, St. Peter, has been located on a high plateau of the Kandel since the eleventh century. In addition to a magnificent baroque church, you will also find the sizeable Rococo library of the former Benedictine monastery here.
In the cold season, 3 different lifts work for the satisfaction of the local winter sports enthusiasts, who enjoy the various downhill options with the best equipment.
The Black Forest panorama road continues towards St. Märgen, a delicate gem with its own natural outdoor pool. The small village has around 1900 inhabitants and greets visitors from a distance with the tips of the famous pilgrimage church “Assumption of Mary”. A popular excursion destination is also the Rankmühle, which can only be viewed from the outside, as it is privately owned, but offers a unique view of the surrounding region.
As on the entire route, there are countless opportunities to stop off here.
With a little fewer inhabitants, but no less charming, you follow the Black Forest Panorama Straße to the tranquil town of Breitnau.
Mountain bikers in particular get their money's worth in the climatic health resort. Typical for the region are the many small farms that settle through the green of the slopes.
The Höllental, which is surrounded by steep slopes with an impressive height of 600 meters, is worth a visit. This spectacle is around 9 kilometers long and represents an important hub for the region's logistics.
One of the most beautiful sections of the Black Forest Panorama Road is certainly the area around Hinterzarten, which has established itself as the pearl of the Black Forest.
Numerous tourist offers such as wellness, guided hikes and extensive offers for families are perfectly rounded off by the unique view.
From ice skating to the golf course, there is something for everyone in Hinterzarten. Also in a culinary sense.
Feldbergbahn mountain station
The penultimate stage of the unique Black Forest Panorama Road is no less spectacular than the previous one. You reach the highest point of the route here, which at around 1400 meters leaves really lasting impressions. Located in the middle of the Southern Black Forest Nature Park, Feldberg is one of the idyllic places in the region.
At the end of the route, the last highlight awaits the nature-spoiled visitor.
The Titisee is blue and crystal clear, surrounded by the houses of Titisee-Neustadt.
An Eldorado for water sports enthusiasts and walkers alike. The Seestrasse has been converted into an inviting promenade and now spoils the visitor with a wonderful view of the fabulous landscape.
So you don't always have to go far to experience unique nature and pamper your palate. Sometimes paradise is almost in front of the door, or in this case, right in Germany.
