The northern third or the northern half of the Black Forest is called the Northern Black Forest. The Northern Black Forest is a largely forest-occupied low mountain range in southern Germany. The area has deep valleys and many forested mountains that are excellent for hiking.

In the northern Black Forest there are several places that are ideally suited as excursion destinations. Baden-Baden is one of those places that has a lot to offer all at once. Baden-Baden is a city that lives up to every recommendation. She is often called the "Monaco of Germany" designated. For example Baiersbronn, a place that is located in part of the Black Forest National Park. Bad Liebenzell, as a spa and spa town, is also an attractive resort for visitors.
