Germany's largest amusement park From November 29, 2025, to January 18, 2026, Europa-Park will be transformed into a sparkling Christmas wonderland! Europa-Park will open its doors for winter magic every day from 11:00 a.m. to at least 19:00 p.m. around Christmas – it will only be closed on December 24 and 25.

What awaits you there? In addition to popular indoor attractions like the "Voletarium" and "Pirates in Batavia," there are plenty of winter specials. Every evening at 18:30 p.m., "Ed's Starlight Parade" parades through the park with illuminated floats. The Christmas market in the castle grounds and the Nordic Winter Village fill the air with the aroma of mulled wine and roasted almonds.

The shows are truly impressive – from circus acrobatics to the dazzling Eurosat Mapping Show to the ice arena in the Greek-themed area. Every day at 17:30 p.m., the large Christmas tree is festively illuminated—not to be missed!

What you definitely shouldn't miss

As soon as it gets dark, Europa-Park reveals its true colors! The numbers speak for themselves: 3.000 snow-covered fir trees from the region stand in the park, decorated with 10.000 Christmas baubles, 1.500 decorative gifts, and just as many bows.

Photo motifs and magical lights

The Euro-Mir has been a photo-worthy highlight for years! This attraction, with its five futuristic towers, is surrounded by fairy lights. Incidentally, the decorations are a masterpiece: A six-person team needs a whole week to install the 105 fairy lights, which weigh between 20 and 45 kilograms and are up to 24 meters long.

Bellevue Ferris wheel with heated gondolas

The 55-meter-high "Bellevue" Ferris wheel in the Portuguese section offers stunning views over the winter wonderland. Since 2023, heated gondolas have been available here – perfect for cold winter days!

Ed's Starlight Parade at 18:30 p.m

"Ed's Starlight Parade" begins daily at 18:30 p.m., featuring luminous costumes and elaborately decorated floats. The highlight awaits on Luxembourg Square: Ed Euromaus and Santa Claus will light up the giant tree.

Eurosat mapping show “Miraculeux”

Starting at 17:00 PM, the 3D video mapping show "Miraculeux" will run every 30 minutes on the facade of the "Eurosat – CanCan Coaster." A fantastic play of light and color!

“Josefina’s Winter Journey” with fireworks

The evening show "Josefina's Winter Journey" during the Christmas season. Imperial Josefina begins her journey on the Danube steamer, surrounded by illuminated water fountains. Together with Ed Euromaus and his friends, she experiences the magic of Christmas while a breathtaking fireworks display illuminates the park. The dancing water fountains, synchronized with the music, are truly impressive.

What’s on at Christmas time and what’s not?

Even in cooler temperatures, Europa-Park has plenty to offer. However, attractions may be cancelled at short notice due to ice, snow, or strong winds—keep this in mind.

These rides are open

Most indoor attractions, such as Eurosat, Abenteuer Atlantis, and FootballScooter, operate year-round. Partially covered attractions like Arthur, Euro-Mir, and the Alpenexpress Enzian are also included. Surprisingly, even the wooden roller coaster WODAN Timburcoaster remains in operation. Water attractions like Poseidon and Atlantica SuperSplash, however, remain closed.

Bad weather? No problem!

If it rains, there are plenty of indoor alternatives. The "Eurosat – CanCan Coaster" in the French-themed area will take you through the wild Parisian nights. "Snorri Tours," the "Voletarium," and "Adventure Atlantis" are also great bad-weather options. The indoor shows in the Globe Theater or Europa-Park Teatro will also keep you dry.

Ice skating on the fjord lake

The ice rink has been a favorite with winter guests since 2001. In the Nordic Winter Village, the large lake area becomes an ice rink for all ages. Fun characters help little beginners get started. Ice skates are available to rent on site for 5,00 € .

Cross-country skiing for the little ones

The "Skitty World Nordic" is a collaboration with the German Ski Association. Among the decorated fir trees, professionals from the Thoma Ski School teach children the basics in a fun way. Lessons are held at 16:00 p.m., 16:45 p.m., and 17:30 p.m.

Mulled wine, tarte flambée and more

Cinnamon, vanilla, and mulled wine—these scents are simply part of the magic of winter! Europa-Park transforms into a culinary wonderland during the cold season.

Christmas market in the Balthasar Palace Park

The Christmas market stretches around the Europa Fountain and in the historic Balthasar Palace Park. Between the 45 giant figures enchant the stands such as the Three Wise Men, snowmen, and fairy tale characters. The "Ireland – Children's World" themed area also features an old-fashioned Christmas market.

What should you try?

The selection is vast: mulled wine, roasted almonds, and the famous chocolate-covered fruits. The tarte flambée stand is particularly convenient—from there, you can also watch the impressive mapping show. Winter specials like the Spicy Santa Burger or poutine are truly warming.

Decorate your own gingerbread hearts

In the French-themed area, the pavilion transforms into a winter bakery. Kambly pastry chefs will show you how to decorate gingerbread hearts – a fantastic experience for the whole family.

Ice bar “Glaciar” – a frosty experience

This bar is truly extraordinary: At minus 11°C, you can drink from glasses made of ice, surrounded by artfully crafted ice sculptures. The bar is made of 30 tons of ice and can accommodate up to 30 guests.

Ice show “Surpr'Ice presents a Christmas Dream”

From the November 24, 2025 to January 18, 2026 You can marvel at the ice show in the Greek-themed area. International figure skaters perform graceful pirouettes and powerful jumps. The ice arena is a real highlight, even when it's cold outside.

“Season of Light” at the Globe Theater

This 30-minute musical show in the English-themed area will transport you to the atmosphere of a sparkling Christmas market. Festive songs and playful choreography will set the mood.

Glamorous dinner show at the Teatro

From November 21, 2025, to February 28, 2026, Europa-Park Teatro will be hosting "Welcome to Illusion." Featuring first-class artists, dancers, and an exquisite four-course menu from two-star chef Peter Hagen-Wiest, this is bound to be something truly special.

Is it worth visiting in winter?

The winter magic at Europa-Park truly has something for everyone. Families with young children will enjoy ice skating on the fjord lake, while teenagers can enjoy plenty of rides even in winter. Adults will also get their money's worth with the shows and mulled wine.

Particularly impressive are the 3.000 snow-covered fir trees with their countless lights. During the day, there are roller coasters, and in the evening, things get truly magical with the parades and tree lighting.

The food is also top-notch – from classic mulled wine to tarte flambée, there's everything you need for a cold day. The Christmas market in the castle park is perfect for warming up between attractions.

Important to note: The water attractions are closed, but almost all indoor rides are open. Incidentally, an evening ticket is worthwhile if you're mainly coming for the shows and the Christmas market.

Overall, I'd say a winter visit is definitely worth it! Europa-Park truly transforms into a winter wonderland and offers a great alternative to the crowded summer days. Anyone who's been there at Christmas will be happy to return.
